I am an Artist and Facilitator living in Bristol, U.K. I facilitate creative workshops and lead and develop projects creating work for galleries, public spaces, schools and community settings.
I have experience of working with various client groups, including young adults, adults with learning difficulties, mental health needs, older people, and community and school groups.
My practice is a process of collaborative collective working. I believe passionately in the benefits of creative expression, in allowing time and space to explore, to locate a sense of self and to find a place, in both your immediate and in a broader community.
My work is about people, shared knowledge and an exploration of things we all have in common. The energy that emerges from this collaborative working allows projects to grow in unexpected and exciting ways.
I create sculptural spatial environments, which can be explored collectively, influencing shared experiences and inspiring ideas. I believe that your world is as big or small as you perceive it to be and I am interested in exploring the subjective definitions of space, for both the individual and the collective.
I am curious about process: exploring new methods of making and creating. My work is predominately sculptural, using mixed media textiles, knitting and photography. However my methods continually evolve and adapt through their use in live projects within a collective environment.
